Pirates of the Caribbean Interactive Project
Our Mission Statement

The purpose of this website and its participants is to spread the word and encourage people to go back to see Pirates of the Caribbean - Curse of the Black Pearl , for a different viewing experience...an interactive experience.

Our plan is reminiscent of the interactive experiences of The Sing-Along Sound of Music and The Wizard of Oz (only we'll be "yo-ho-ing," not singing!). Since Pirates of the Caribbean is a family film, we want the enjoyment of this movie to remain one that will have wonderful memories for people of all ages...on top of the great memories that they already have of it.

Pirates of the Caribbean The idea sprung from the wishes of numerous fans of POTC, to honor the amazing work done by everyone associated with it: director Gore Verbinski, producers Disney Enterprises, Inc. and Jerry Bruckheimer, Inc., Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio for the inspiring screenplay, and to especially pay tribute to actor Johnny Depp, whose characterization of Captain Jack Sparrow is true comedic genius.

The Interactive Project originated in Southern Ontario, Canada, in September 2003, and quickly spread throughout North America. We would like to see the concept grow world-wide and we feel that the internet is the best vehicle to ensure that not only does the idea move quickly, but that it is fully understood what we are encouraging and what we are not encouraging...i.e. the throwing of any objects, as well as the use of any alcohol or illegal substances at these viewings.

The POTC Interactive Project is proud to coordinate with theatre and venue owners for a portion of ticket sales from designated events to be donated to local charities.
