Pirates of the Caribbean If you are unfamiliar with the script, we suggest that you bring small penlights to check the lines, while the movie is playing. Please, no big flashlights that will distract people.

Suggested costumes: Pirate regalia, including boots, coats, sashes, bandanas and trinkets in your hair; townsfolk, blacksmith, wench, 18th Century naval officer, governor, maid, butler, dockmaster, guard.

Suggested props....stuffed parrots, green apples, keys (for the jail cell), bones, gold crowns (the cardboard type that you can get for New Years Eve are good for this), gold coins, gold medallions, stuffed monkeys, ladies fans, compass. (We request that you do not bring any swords, knives or other weapons, as there are often children at these interactives and we don't want anyone to be injured! As well, most theaters would have a policy prohibiting weapons from being taken inside.)

Interactive Action Suggestions
These are actions that can be done throughout the movie, at the opportune moments.
EVERYTIME we hear the name JACK SPARROW or CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW...we have to stand and salute. Not just when Gibbs says "Jack". It has to be the whole name. Example: When Elizabeth and Will say "Captain! Captain Jack Sparrow!" We stand and salute.

Whenever anyone says "Lord Beckett," make hissing noises.

Hat theme interaction: to be done when scene changes from Pirates to British Navy. Change hats from pirate hat to British Navy Tricorn (for those not in full costume).

Fighting device to be used instead of swords: feathers.

Compass: when the compass appears, we hold up our own, turning it in different ways and pointing.

Hats on/off depending on what state of hattedness Captain Jack is in.

The Interactive Script

Int 1) When Elizabeth and Will “correct” the man arresting them: Shout “Captain!” as well

Int 2) While Gibbs sings Fifteen Men on a Dead Man’s Chest he stops to take a swig of rum: As he begins to drink tell him to “Lay off the sauce”!

Int 3) When the crow begins to tap his beak on the coffin: Say, “You don’t want to be doing that, mate.”

Int 4) When Jack's rowing the coffin and asks "Do you mind if we make a little side trip?", then we say "Go ahead!" and Jack answers "Didn't think so"

Int 5) When Jack is sitting at the table with the map and asks, "Why is the rum always gone?" and then stands up, we say, "Because you drank it all." Jack will then say, "Oh that's why."

Int 6) As Jack goes below deck in search of rum: Quickly stand and salute. Jack will tell you when to be at ease. ("As you were gents")

Int 7) When Jack is below deck looking for rum and sees the sea creatures, we say, "Look in the lower rack" and Jack says, "Ahhh!"

Int 8) When Jack is below deck with the lantern looking for more rum and the light shines on Bootstrap, we say, "Who IS that?" and Jack replies, "Bootstrap -- Bill Turner?"

Int 9) When Bootstrap says, "You look good, Jack." The women in the audience say, "YES HE DOES!!!"

Int 10) When the Monkey grabs Jack's hat and runs, we yell, "MONKEY!"

Int 11) As Pintel and Ragetti are rowing the boat, the camera zooms in on Ragetti: Ask them “How did you get out of jail”?; they will each give their opinions.

Int 12) When Will yells, "JACK SPARROW!" on the beach, we yell, 'CAPTAIN!!! CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW!!"

Int 13) When Will finds Gibbs' bottle on Cannibal Island, we mutter, "Bloody empty!"

Int 14) When Will is caught in the cannibals' snare, we yell, "Now as long as you're just hanging there...."

Int 15) When Jack tries to make a break for freedom from the cannibals, he runs into a cliff. After Jack drops the pole he had been inspecting, tell him to “Look in the hut”!

Int 16) When Jack asks Will, "How much do you know about Davy Jones?" we say: "HE WAS ONE OF THE MONKEES."

Int 17) When Jack and company go to see Tia Dalma for the first time, as soon as Jack enters the shack and says, “Tia Dalma”, we say, “Watch out Jack!” Jack will respond by ducking around the jar hanging from the ceiling.

Int 18) When Jack says that he was only captain of the Black Pearl for two years, to which Davy Jones states that he has been addressing himself as Captain Jack Sparrow: After Jones states this, say, “Oh, bugger.” (or “Darn.”)

Int 19) When bargaining with Jones, Jack states some of Will’s good qualities: After Jack finishes telling Jones that Will is in love, add, “He’s got a lovely singing voice, too.”

Int 20) When Davy Jones and Jack seal their deal in ink: As Jones takes his hand away ask Jack “Are your rings still there?”

Int 21) When Will is about to be whipped on the Flying Dutchman, “Bootstrap” Bill Turner tells Davy Jones that Will is his son: Say, “So, Will’s a legacy.”

Int 22) When Jacks says to Elizabeth on the Pearl, “As I said…persuade me.” As Liz walks away, we advise, “FORGET HER JACK!” and he makes that odd grunting noise.

Int 23) When the ship Will is on is attacked by the Kraken: Once Will leaps from the falling mast to one still standing tell him to “Use the knife!” He will then use the knife to slide down the sail.

Int 24) When Jack is speaking closely with Elizabeth: After Elizabeth asks that Jack not compromise her honor, shout “Jack! Your hand!”

Int 25) When Ragetti and Pintel run by with the chest, we shout, “After them!!” and Lizzy will jump up and chase them.

Int 26) Just before Jack falls into the dug out grave, yell, “Watch where you’re going!!” After he falls into the grave, “Too late!”

Int 27) When Jack is running in the wheel, we yell, “HEADS UP!!”, just before he smacks into the bar inside the wheel.

Int 28) When Jack recovers the chest from the conch-head and opens it to reveal the heart, we say, “Hide it!! Quick!!” and Jack stuffs the heart inside his shirt.

Int 29) When Norrington runs away from the longboat with the chest, but is stopped by Jones’ crew and the conch-head says that he’ll pry it….etc….we call out, “GET RID OF IT!” and Norrington tosses it.

Int 30) When brandishing the jar of dirt at Davy Jones, Jack falls down a set of stairs: Ask “Have you got it?” to which Jack will reply that he’s got it.

Int 31) When Pintel and Ragetti look into the cabin of the Pearl that’s been blown to bits by Jones, we say, “For pete’s sake!!! Stop blowing holes in Jack’s ship!!!”

Int 32) When the Kraken shakes the Pearl and Marty says to Gibbs, “Not good!”, we say, “Jack owes us another ship.”

Int 33) When the Kraken is beginning it’s attack of the Pearl and the crew finds they only have six powder kegs…when Will says, “Then use the rum!”, we shout, “NOOO!! Not the rum AGAIN!” Gibbs then says, “Aye, the rum too.”

Int 34) When Jack shoots the rifle and burning chunks of Kraken falls to the deck, we ask, “Calamari anyone?”

Int 35) When Jack announces that they must abandon the Black Pearl: After Gibbs declares that they must either “Abandon ship or abandon hope,” say “But, it’s such a pretty boat… ship.”

Int 36) When the Kraken surfaces and roars at Jack, as he wipes the slime from his mouth, we say, “EEWWWW!!! JACK!!!” Jack will respond that it wasn’t so bad.

Int 37) After Jack is swallowed by the Kraken, stand and do the COTBP salute (the one Jack does when he’s paying homage to the hanging pirates in Port Royal bay).

Int 38) When Tia asks who will go to the end of the Earth to bring back witty Jack and him precious Pearl, we all stand and shout a resounding, “AYE!!”

You may want to yell some of these and others just say them.
For instance, when you are calling to Jack to watch out....,
it should be shouted, because you want him to "hear" you.
