Pirates of the Caribbean Interactive Project Pirates of the Caribbean

Meet the Officers and Crew of the Interactive Black Pearl!

Our ranks are ever growing, but here are some
of the stalwart souls sailing on the Interactive Pearl.

Captain Jack Sparrow
The one and only man capable of leading such a diversified team of pirates in the planning and execution stages of the interactive POTC:TCOTBP. Sly, mischievous, and a consummate rogue, Jack is the anchor for creativity and freedom.

Laura
The leader of the dedicated crew of the Interactive Pearl! It was with a flash one Sunday afternoon in early September 2003 that the seed of an idea came to her to stand and salute along with Capt. Jack Sparrow. Encouraged and supported by fellow fans and with the help of neophyte, this project was born.

neophyte the nefarious
The navigator and co-founder of the POTCIP website, neophyte helps steer this ship through murky waters, stormy seas and huge waves to bring us back safely into port each time. She always encourages us to stick to the high road and never lose sight of that horizon.

Lanie
One of the original crew who braved all and signed up for this venture, she was the first to hold an interactive in Florida…ummmm…make that two interactives…'scuse me….THREE! She was also the first to get our project written about by means of the Tampa Tribune. Life and other commitments have not permitted her to join us on the forum as much lately, but her friendship has earned her a special place in many of the crews' hearts.

Brianna
Another of the original crew, RA Bri has sailed across the continent to help promote and recruit more mates to enjoy the interactive idea. Definitely one of the most die-hard fans, having viewed this movie more than 60 times in theatres alone, she has dropped anchor in several different ports and met many pirates along the way.

JansySparrow
Also of the original crew, Jansy is one of the ship's landlocked pirates, but that hasn't prevented her from traversing this continent from one side to the other, where she has met a good many of the mates. A smart and delightful pirate whose humour knows no bounds and who also counts writing among her many talents, she touches the heart of everyone who meets her.

Françoise
Of the original crew, she was the lone French pirate to sign on for interactive duties. She and her lovely daughter, Bess, took the terrific pictures that adorn the home pages of this site. She joins the crew each morning to start the day with a bit of friendship and fun…and to provide the occasional French lesson to some of the crewmates.

JP (Jolly Pirate)
Also a French mate, but from the Canadian side of the ocean, she's up on deck early each morning to bring brightness and smiles to the ship. She hosted the only completely French interactives in Quebec – a two day smashingly successful event. We salute her efforts.

MLMLuisa
This gentle lady pirate hails originally from England, but is now residing in Ontario. Her warmth and humour help to keep the ship afloat. At times absent due to other commitments, the crew is nevertheless thrilled when she makes an appearance on the forum. A true and faithful friend and mate.

Lorien Stormfeather
Lorien joined us from the Northwest of the U.S. It was through her hard work and perseverance, that the POTCIP had its most successful fundraiser to date -- for the FEAT organization. She has since founded her own band of merry pirates in the Portland area and remains a true fan of POTC and the interactive idea.

Rambling Red
This sweet pirate joined the crew shortly after we began. Her story of battling and overcoming cancer has been an inspiration to many on this ship. Oddly enough, her inspiration through her ordeal was Captain Jack Sparrow and the treatment center where she conquered her illness was called the Sparrow Center. Now that's what we call ironic.

Calico Jack
Calico had the distinction of being the first pirate on this ship to bring a baby pirate aboard...and then we lost her to cancer. Calico was vital part of this crew, and we all miss her and think of her often.

Vampirate and Bo'sun Cotton's Parrott
Veterans of the Rocky Horror Picture Show heyday, a love of fun brought these two pirates to our ship. Among the original crew, it was Vampirate who suggested what is definitely the funniest part of the interactions…to join Captain Jack when he bites into the green apple. Though they aren't prone to chatting on our forum, they will forever remain in Laura's heart as true mates and friends.

Master ArrRoger
Master ArrRoger and his wife joined our crew late in the fall of 2003. He is another member of the Oregonian pirates and a shipmaster at heart. Jolly and always ready to laugh, he opens his heart and home to all pirates! He is a also a member of the BOOM pirates.

Strumpet
Another of the original crew, Strumpet flits in and out of our lives and we're never sure when she's going to pop up. We are always happy to see her on the forum when she is so inclined to join in our laughter.

Lily-Rose
An original crewmember and college student who has sailed on to seek her own horizons, Lily Rose merits a special place on this list. It was her courage and fortitude that helped to bring about the first Portland interactive and it was she who garnered us a full-page story on the front of the Entertainment section of the Oregonian newspaper in the fall of 2003.

Gretchen
Again, one of the original mates, she offered suggestions, encouragement and support during the initial stages of this site and remained on deck for a long time, providing the crew with delightful and funny posts. She has also sailed into new seas, but occasionally drops by to say hi to the crew, who are always glad to see her aboard.

Endkaos
Endkaos was an original crewmate who provided much support during the first few months of this project. A true interactive fan, she is currently a moderator on the Pyracy Pub and is now known as BlackHearted Pearl. She remains a loyal and valued friend of the Interactive site.

Toni
Rarely seen but definitely felt, she is the artist pirate of the crew, maker of cartoon drawings of the captain suitable to the day and the occasion. She is a busy pirate and often ashore, but she jumps aboard whenever promotions, rum parties, or swag appear! Also in Port Land, she is frequent attendee of all Oregonian raids!

The MacKay
This pirate is among the Northwest group. He first showed up at Lily-Rose's interactive with a mind to go after the treasure on the Isla de Muerta. Now he makes fine pirate hats which can be found by looking for his site on our Links pages.

Div'ner Morgan
Div'ner is one of the more serious pirates on this ship. She's undaunted in her drive to provide the crew with alternate methods of healing the mind, body and spirit. Her insight and unusual perspectives are invaluable and we all anticipate every one of her posts.

Jack's Girl
Another newcomer, she posts and adds her own brand of humor to the forum. One of the crew, she is ready, willing, and able to take up the tasks of keeping the Pearl clean and shining! Though not as yet involved in any battles, she may prove a goodly fighter against all cursed pirates who try to take Jack's ship AGAIN!

Travis Bones
Travis sailed on this ship for but a short time, after which school and life called him to follow other horizons. His great contributions to our interactive script, though, has forever merited him a mention on this page.

Ship's Surgeon Ellen Sugary
Mother to Brianna. She keeps up with the Pearl through the ravings and excitement of the RA. Her title denotes both her sweet disposition and, unfortunately, the onset of Type 2 diabetes. The crew wishes her well as she adjusts her life to the maintenance of her health.

Lady Writer
Another of the many authors on this ship, Lady Writer is a frequent forum member who keeps the Faithful Bride hopping in the evenings, with her funny, delightful messages. She and her husband Dan (see next bio) played hosts and guides to the crewmembers who travelled to California to try out for the extra parts in POTC 2 & 3.

Dangerous Dan
Lifelong mate of the aforementioned Lady Writer, Dan is a new addition to the crew. He had the pleasure of escorting some of the crewmates around Los Angeles for the casting call of POTC 2 and 3. We've 'eard stories that he has quite a sense of humour.

Jack Skellington
An English pirate, she comes onboard with news, or the wanting of same. She has gone missing lately, and the crew hopes to hear from her again soon.

Fran aka Rum Tum Tugger
Another of the original crewmates, it was Fran's savvy PR ways and tireless efforts that brought the Interactive site it's press kit, which has been a valuable tool for many of the event organizers. She only posts irregularly on the forum these days, but the crew is always happy to see her when she drops in to visit.

Captain Anne Rackham
A recent recruit on this ship, she has had more than her fair share of curses to deal with lately. This hasn't stopped her, however, from dropping by to visit the crew and share a laugh with all of us.

Shazy
Another British mate, Shazy joins the crew for daily romps of laughter and good times. Originally from the JDZone, she found her way onto this ship when she asked Laura for a copy of the JDOCD list.

Lauren
Lauren was only with the crew for a very short time in the fall of 2003 during the genesis stages of this project. She provided Laura with a lot of encouragement and enthusiasm to pursue this idea and this merits her a place on our bio page.

DutchS
DutchS is our Holland crewmember. She used to be a regular poster on the morning crew, but school and other website involvements have not given her much time to visit lately.

Kate the Elder
Kate was also part of the original crew. She pops by once in a while to let us know where she is currently living and to keep us abreast of how she is doing. She held a POTC Halloween party in the fall of 2003 that they say is still being talked about to this day, all up and down the eastern seaboard.

Cat and Charity
Twin pirate sisters who sail in the seas of Northern England, they were also part of the original crew. They keep in touch with Laura on a fairly regular basis, but again, school and teenage activities prevent them from visiting on the forums.

captainjacksparrowsavvy
Cjssavvy joined the crew in 2004. She is a very funny wench who loves to see how far she can 'push the envelope' on the Faithful Bride before the 'delete gods' (as she calls Laura and Neo), come swooping down to erase any posts that they feel are a tad over the line. Nonetheless, she keeps the crew in a constant state of laughter and happiness and we'd be a sadder group without her.

Bootstrap Beck
Beck is one of the original crew who signed on after reading Laura's idea on the JDZone. She attended Lanie's Florida interactive and continues her piratey ways to this day. Her warm and kind spirit has made her a favourite among the crew who know her.

Cutthroat Kate
Another long time participant in RHPS interactives, Kate brings a certain degree of experience to our crew. Though not one to chat a lot on the forums, she is still a good mate to have on board with us. A fine lady….errr - wench….umm - pirate.

Sailing Mistress Beatrice Fox
Named for her Irish grandmother, who sailed the Atlantic on her way to New York, the Sailing Mistress makes home port in San Francisco. It is her fabulous story about being an extra in the sequel of POTC that graces the pages of the Compass Rose. We are all anticipating the day that we see her up on the big screen.

Harley
He joined our crew for only a brief time. So brief in fact, that his main contribution was an interactive suggestion for our script. Although he emails Laura from time to time to keep in touch and provide encouragement, he has since sailed on to new adventures.

Scally
Scally joined our merry crew in the spring of 2004 and she is one of the craftiest pirates on board this ship. She loves to create swag to give to her crewmates and her hard work and skills are much appreciated by the other pirates. Although her family keeps her busy, she doesn't hesitate to join in the merriment when things get rolling on deck.

Elizabeth (aka Miss Swann)
Another of the British pirates aboard this ship, although she also now resides in Ontario. At first the crew had trouble keeping her from constantly falling off the fort wall, but the lass has finally found her strength and remains a steady and loyal crewmate.

Kyrila aka Scully Crossbones
Kyrila is a crewmate from the Floridian fleet. A hardy lass (and another writer) who seems to lead a very diverse and fascinating life, especially lately, when she moved to Orlando and is now part of the Mouse House itself.

Alyx
Alyx joined the crew not too long ago and has proven to be a fun addition to our site. Since she works late evenings, she often has to go to her bunk in the mornings, just when the rest of the crew is getting up. That doesn’t prevent her from diving right into the hilarity at the opportune moments.

Nervy Nan of the Nebula
Nan joined our group recently and quickly adapted to the wacky and crazy ways of our members. She routinely joins in the merriment and we're happy to have her sailing with us.

Sharon
Another of the original crew who has since sailed on to other ports, Sharon offered Laura insight and support through the beginnings of this project. We hope to see her with us again someday as she was definitely worth her salt.

Shanghai Sally
Sally joined our crew in 2004. A journalist from the mid-west, she appears occasionally on the forum to join in the fun. She's hoping to one day have a story published about the Interactive crew and the changes the movie has made in their lives.

Mad Mary
An elusive pirate who loves to appear from nowhere and join us on the forum for a brief moment before she disappears again. Not a lot is known about Mad Mary, but the crew would love for her to stay around someday long enough for us to get to know her better.

Captain Starling
One of the most recent British pirates to join us and a dashing one to boot, he recently married and we're anxious for the day he introduces his bride to the rest of the crew. Due to the time difference, he is always on deck early, calling for the crew to get out of bed.

Helen
Helen is the newest member of the Interactive Pearl and a published author from England. We are honoured to have her on this ship, as she brings the kind of enthusiasm that we like to see. If you are so inclined, you can visit her website and learn more about her works here here.

Feast your eyes, visitors! All of 'em faithful hands before the mast, every (wo)man worth his/her salt…and crazy to boot!
